The Importance of Keywords:

Every successful logo should be able to be narrowed down to a few key descriptors, and those keywords should complement your brand’s story. Here are three examples of logos that I’ve made over the years that show just that.

Modern • Sharp • Sophisticated

 Playful • Current • Approachable
A wiggly maximalist home-goods brand

Artistic • Accessible • Spirited

Creating A Brand System

In 2020 I worked with a talented chef who was looking to expand from his ramen restaurant into other cuisines he loved. Birdmeat was his concept for an upscale fast-food type of joint where you could get fried chicken sandwiches, shakes, and fries. We worked together to come up with a friendly wordmark that could serve as the basis of an interchangeable system.

Finding Flexibility in Logos

In 2021, the Flint Youth Film Festival (FYFF) reached out seeking to rebrand its annual festival. We worked together to create a system that could be simplified to a one-color option to be used on the majority of materials. This primary mark can be printed cheaply, can be placed in almost any scenario, and will maintain its relevancy throughout the coming years, free from fast-fading colors or design trends. However, we also created an alternative mark that could be used as an additional youthful pop of color on festival materials, that can evolve over the next several years.

Film & TV Titles

Part of branding most people don’t think about is the branding of a movie or TV Show. I have several years of experience in crafting logos for Film, TV & Media Events. This playful project I completed in 2022 was a concept for a TV documentary about one of the greatest radio voices to grace the airwaves.
